Vegetarian, Vegan & Raw options in Bali

Being a vegetarian, turning vegan, sometimes is hard to find a place to eat out while traveling, but in Bali there were so many mouth watering options… I’m going to share some with you. And for those who think vegetarian/vegan food is tasteless, think again!

1) The Elephant – Earth friendly food, Ubud

With the an amazing view, The Elephant, was the perfect place to go out and watch the sunset while drinking one of my favorites, a dragon fruit & mango smoothie . It has a small Raw Menu, composed salads, juices and super yummy smoothies. It has some of the best Vegetarian and Vegan food I’ve tasted, during my stay in Ubud I went there every single day. They create food that is delicious and healthy to eat that doesn’t endanger the health of the planet in its making.

5) Buying your own fruit

Another good option for a snack, if you’re a backpacker or if you simply want to buy some fresh food to eat, is going to a market. The tropical fruit is super delish and very beneficial to your health. You will find some colorful stands and you can even bargain the price of the fruit.

If… you’re traveling with a meat/fish eater, most restaurants that have meat/fish dishes usually are also vegetarian friendly. One that I’ve also been to (and ordered vegetarian dishes) is

Bumbu Bali, Tanjung Benoa

Bumbu Bali serves Balinese cuisine in a traditional crafted village home setting and it also teaches how to cook Balinese food in their own cooking classes.
